If you are coming from the south, turn right at the first set of traffic lights in Thurso on to the John o Groats road which is the A836.
Follow the road to Dunnet, pass the hotel on the left, and turn left, onto the B855,
towards Dunnet Head viewpoint. After about 50 yards you will cross a little bridge .. DO NOT GO STRAIGHT ON.
Follow the road to the right until you reach
the village of Brough.Turn left towards Dunnet Head. About 300 yards further on you will see an information shelter on the left .. Windhaven is on the right. Please note that there is no
longer a red telephone box outside the property.
